Another year, another “best-of” List. , I’m not going to list the best games of 2017, as I haven’t played every Game I’d like to (yes I’m looking at you Super Mario Odyssey)
Also, my Pile of shame has reached a new record . For these reasons you’ll find many Games released in 2016 (or even before) on this list.
We start the list with a few Games I started playing in 2016, and got to finish during 2017:
Another Open-World Game, this time set in the Apocalyptic World of Mad Max. The Game captures the Look ‘n Feel of the Movies, and provided me tons of fun driving around in my V8 looking for Upgrades.
Although Critics were pretty hard on this one, I enjoyed it playing it together with my son, helping out the (silly&dumb) Toad Rescue Squad.
Shovel Knight might simply 1 of my all-time favorites. i play it every year. This year I particulary enjoyed plaing Specter’s Knight Cmapaign, which I found to be almost better as the Main Campaign.
Simply put, the Best Zelda game ever made! It’s a modern open-word defining game that plays exactly like the first Zelda on NES.
Excellent “Open-World” Racing Game with fun challenges.
Finally, after more then 25 years I was able to play and enjoy this masterpiece of a Game.
Excellent Hack ‘n Slash Game in the traditions of a God of War. Silly and over-the-top action.
Oh boy was I disappointed by Nintendo when they shut down the fan project “AM2R”. They redeemed themselves by delivering one of the best “2D” Metroids ever made!
Although I liked it on the PS2, it was the PS4 “reboot” that I enjoyed the best.
Another of the “just one more try” rogue like Games. This one comes with a very good and challenging gameplay.
Try.One.More.Time. Need to say more?
My son and I we played the Heck out of this. Excellent couch co-op for younger Kid.s
Very charming and challenging Run ‘n Gun with an exceptional Soundtrack.
Action Hack ‘n Slash Game which captures Deadpool’s sense of Humour very good.
Finally got to play the latest ( or last?) Adventure of Nathan Drake in 2017.
I enjoyed watching my son ply this Game. Although he didn’t catch all the references..
Another great local co-op Game ! Never played Knack1, but my son and I liked this one very much.
I loved the Stick of Truth, so playing the sequel was a no-brainer. Although I’ll stick with the Stick (Pun intended).
Never thought I would love another Assassin’s Creed game after Part II. I loved spending hours discovering all the secret tombs. The historical version of Egypt is so well made that it nearly feels like a time travel trip.
